Born in Sapporo.
Katsuya Handa trained at one-star and three-star French restaurants, including at Belle France in Ginza. After working as the head chef at the Tokyo ANA Hotels Auberge and opening a hotel overseas, he worked as both the food and beverage director and the head chef at a foreign-owned hotel. After working as the head chef at French restaurants in Akasaka and Jiyugaoka in Tokyo, he became the head chef at Terrace & Dining Zero when Cross Hotel Osaka was rebranded.

Our core concept of "live and open" is about delivering heartfelt hospitality by creating a space where guests are in close proximity to the chef and the process of creating the dishes, as well as to the server that brings the dishes to the table.
The dishes served here are based on traditional French cuisine, and values both tradition and creativity.
The brasserie menu goes back to the roots of French food of the common people, and introduces guests to the authentic world of everyday French cuisine.
The course cuisine delivers French dishes that are masterfully crafted using skilled techniques, and offers an extraordinary dining experience and service for guests through culinary delights that accentuate seasonal sensations.

This main dining area features captivating performances at the chef’s table, and a dazzling experience from the live kitchen. Experience our “live and open” concept at this refined and playful environment that is characteristic of Cross Hotel.


This dining hall is perfect for a variety of functions, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even parties. In addition to tables and seats that can be arranged freely, the booth seats offer exceptional comfort.


In the back of the restaurant, we’ve prepared a dining space that offers privacy. This fine dining space exhibits a subdued ambiance—perfect for relishing a meal with the one you love on a special occasion.


This open terrace area blends seamlessly with the vibrant cityscape of Osaka. The novel design guides charming lights from the awning.


While the bar counter features an open atmosphere, it also exhibits a sense of privacy. The bar is the perfect rendezvous spot, as well as an excellent place to unwind after dinner.


This VIP room is your personal getaway spot. Complete with a private lounge, you can enjoy the dishes crafted by the chef in a space set aside just for you. This area can be used for various purposes, including business meetings, exhibitions, and for entertaining clients.

There is no dress code, but we ask guests not to dress too casually, or in ways that may cause discomfort for other guests.
We strictly forbid members of organized criminal groups or anyone involved in such groups in any capacity, anyone involved in other forms of criminal behavior, as well as anyone who engages in otherwise troublesome behavior from entering the premises.
We do not serve alcohol to guests who are planning to drive, or any guests under the age of 20.
We do not serve guests under the age of 18 who are not accompanied by an adult between 10:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight.
We may ask to see a form of ID that includes a picture, your name, and your address. Thank you for your understanding.
